A dream venue!
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Box House hotel this past weekend, and we had, hands down, the best experience we could have hoped for and imagined. Elizabeth, Abbas, and the rest of the team were incredibly responsive, flexible, warm, understanding, and reassuring as we planned our wedding this winter while navigating a maze of ever-changing rules related to the pandemic here in New York. They were also open to helping us customize our food and drinks menus, always answered any and every question we had, and made sure every detail was covered. On the day of, everything turned out just as we had hoped, and the staff was critical in making that happen. Elizabeth even helped me get a stain out of my dress in real time! Our guests all told us what a great time they had, and what a beautiful and airy venue we chose – with views of Manhattan that can’t be beat. Wedding planning is tough, but having a supportive venue by your side can make all the difference – the Box House Hotel is that venue!!

Perfect. Magical. All-in / All-included Wedding Gem.
The Box House Hotel is a gem in the New York wedding scene - and if we're being honest, a gem in the wedding scene overall. It's the best that exists. Full stop. The words used by our guests for the evening included: Perfect. Magical. Absolutely stunning. And that's the truth. Here's why: 1) The people & service: The Box House Hotel staff are consummate professionals who know their stuff. Every detail was thought through and prepared for, while day-of, they were in lock-step across timelines, guests, spacial changes and more. This is a superb team. 2) The space & the views: Of course this is why you do a rooftop, but even with that understanding, BHH blows expectations away. There's the sunset over Manhattan, the twinkly lights' reflections that created stream of lights emanating over Brooklyn below, the choreography of the space itself that easily transitioned from phase to phase and more. 3) The food: The food was fantastic. It felt like it was made to order, arriving at each table perfectly cooked & served. The variety and quality can't be beat (seriously, most weddings it's like a mass produced meal. Here, it matched NYC's best food & Chefs). 4) The value: The all-in price for the Box House came in way more reasonable than any other NY, Brooklyn or Hudson Valley venue we assessed. Not only that, but they go above and beyond at every step - the team, the candles/design, the audio/video partnerships, and more. Thank you Box House for everything!
Beautiful venue space and awesome team
We LOVED this venue and the whole Box House team. Elizabeth was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process, and she is really organized and answered all our questions. She even showed my parents and our friend/florist the space ahead of time so he could get a sense of how to decorate. The food is delicious. The view and space are BEAUTIFUL, and the pictures on this website don’t do it justice (they are nice- but it’s even more beautiful when you go and check out the space). Overall, we had an amazing time, we were so happy to bring our friends and family to our neighborhood in Greenpoint and share a beautiful evening with them, and we loved working with the Box House team and appreciate them! I can’t recommend this venue enough.

A Venue with a View & A Night To Remember
My wife (still kind of wild to say) and I were married on November 16th, 2018 - on November 15th, 2018 there was a freak snowstorm. Needless to say, it was planes, trains, and automobiles for our friends and family to get there. It was as if NYC had never seen 4 inches of snow. But the Box House Hotel crew was on it - the night before there was snow int eh venue (to protect the retractable roof it was left open) less than 12 hours later it was cleared out as if NOTHING had happened. From then on we worried and wanted for nothing. Joe and Steven were exceptional, as were the servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders. Every person had a smile on their face and wanted you to know they were there to make your day special. From the roof of the venue, you see NYC as it should be seen - it's truly breathtaking. Our food was exquisite, the setup was simple and tasteful, and our external vendors had no issues the day of and leading up to. We were not the easiest couple, we're both project managers and we project managed our wedding from engagement June 30th to the date on November 16th. But Joe was there with us the whole way, and with only a few minor blips because of staff changeover, we had the wedding we both wanted.
nothing short of amazing!
We just had our engagement party at the Box House Hotel. Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. We were touring several event spaces when we stopped by the hotel for the first time. Joe, the events director, was kind enough to show us the rooftop without an appointment. We were immediately impressed by how cool and stylish the hotel lobby was. As soon as we saw the rooftop, it blew the other event spaces we had seen earlier out of the park. From the moment we began the planning process, Joe was there for us every step of the way, answering all our questions, providing us different options, and working with us to plan our dream event. The night of the engagement was absolutely fabulous. Joe, Steven (events manager), and the party staff put everything together perfectly and my mind was at such ease I didn't even feel the need to check in. Even with all the rain outside, the views of the city skyline remained a vibrant backdrop to our party. All our guests were instantly awed by the beautiful setup with ample dancing space and room to roam. Since my fiance and I are big time foodies, the food was an especially important part of our event - and I can honestly say that we and all our guests were amazed by how incredibly delicious the food was. Even the pickiest of our guests were shocked by how good EVERYTHING tasted. During these types of events, it is so difficult for couples to taste the food at their own party, but Joe personally brought over food, drink, and utensils to both my fiance and I so we wouldn't miss out while we were constantly greeting guests and posing for pictures. It was the type of night no one wanted to end. Days later, I'm still getting messages from family and friends about how much fun they had and how beautiful everything was. We are so thankful to Joe and his team at the Box House Hotel for making our experience and our event truly memorable and fabulous.

Simply Put: There is no better venue
Wow, wow, wow. Thats really all I can say and all I have been feeling the past few weeks since my wedding. Everything was INCREDIBLE! My friends, family, mom & dad, and myself have not stopped talking and gabbing about what an amazing wedding we had on the rooftop at The Box House Hotel! Honestly, if you find your way to this page, just do yourself a favor and book, there is no need to look any further!
Hotel & Staff: In a nutshell The Box House is just immaculate, super clean, spacious rooms, beautiful decor. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment we booked our rooms. They immediately brought us up everything we need whenever we needed it (steamers, extra mirrors, even a bottle of champagne ;)). The rooms are MASSIVE - all caps doesn't even do it justice! My girls and I had so much room to do all of our hair and makeup and get ready for my wedding day.
Joe & his team: I honestly don't know what to say, they were PERFECT. From the moment I took my first tour with Joe he was incredibly knowledgable and walked me through the entire process. I knew the space was beautiful but the way he helped us visualize everything was very helpful in planning our wedding. After we chose to host our wedding at The Box House, we were guided every single step of the way in booking vendors, inviting guests, floorplans, food, beverage, literally everything was discussed with us in such great detail. Needless to say, my mom was thrilled I chose this space, Joe, and the hotel.
On the day of it was IMMACULATE. The space was gorgeous, the team looks really sharp, the food was to die for...my friends are still talking about how they have never had a dinner, let alone wedding food, like what we were served on at The Box House. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.
I honestly could go on forever, but again, there is no place like The Box House in all of NYC. Please do yourself a favor and book your wedding with them. Joe and his staff are professional, intelligent, friendly, and a joy to work with. The food was filling, delicious, and just simply wonderful. The bartenders and the drinks were perfectly curated and they handled our large crowd like champs.
Simply put: There's no better venue!
Thank you to Joe, The Box House, and the incredible team for making my day everything I hoped it could be and more!
The Best Views. The Best Venue.
"That was the best wedding I've been to"
"This is the best view we've ever had at a wedding"
"The food was incredible. Wedding of the year!"
What a night. My wife and I were married on 9/28/18, with the cocktail hour and reception taking place at The Box House Hotel. The compliments from our guests were endless - from the food, to the view, the dance space, the ease of accommodations, and more. Simply put, it's a special place. It's not a standard wedding function hall, with countless weddings taking place. When you have a wedding at the Box House, the place is yours. It is you and your guests on that rooftop. Your closest friends and family experience the incredible views. And when it's over, the hotel practically feels like your own. It just has that vibe. That's what made everything special...it just felt like a fully catered (literally and figuratively) experience for you and your guests.
Highlights:
- Retractable roof allows for peace of mind and a great change of pace. Our evening started out cool, but then we opened the roof up as it started to heat up thanks to the dancing
- The food was delicious. We got rave reviews.
- The bartenders were so attentive...our guests certainly felt it
- PLENTY of space. We had 125 guests and were able to comfortably accommodate everyone
- Sound system and lighting was perfect
Minor note If you have any decorations that are intended for the wood panels, please be advised that nails weren't allowed and we didn't have luck with 3M tape. For future couples, would definitely be advised to think through other options in case you are looking to hang decorations.
Overall, the process itself was very smooth. Joe worked with us, helping tailor the night to our needs very seamlessly. We highly recommend The Box House Hotel. Thank you, Joe and staff. It was incredible. - Chris and Teeny

My (now) husband and I fell in love...
and spent most of our relationship in Greenpoint and we really wanted to find a place to get married in our neighborhood. Our wedding was to take place in early April and after we toured the Box House Hotel rooftop we didn't look back and it was the best wedding planning decision I made. Everything about this place is perfect and EXACTLY what we envisioned. I couldn't recommend it more! TLDR: -The Box house is the best wedding venue find in NYC, maybe in the world. -Their events manager, Joe, is the best events manager in NYC, maybe in the world: he will be your wedding MVP- trust me. -If you want the most beautiful, stress free wedding in NYC, maybe in the world, get married at The Box House Hotel rooftop. CONCERNING THE SPACE: -The event space has the most breathtaking surround view of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. -We REALLLY wanted a rooftop wedding- but we were getting married at the beginning of April and worried about weather... BUT GUESS WHAT? The Box House rooftop can be left completely open on a beautiful day or closed in with stunning glass panels and a retractable roof at a moments notice. Weather be damned- we were going to have the perfect wedding at this space. -The decor is just to die for. Every piece of wood that has been laid or fixture that has been built is impeccably considered. There is a marble bar situated on one end of the room that is worthy of being a sculpture in a museum. It's the kind of space that is so beautiful that you could leave it as is, with no further decor, and still have a beautiful event -Throughout the room they have available rolling room dividers that are super helpful for customizing the space to your exact event needs and easily change things around throughout the evening - Everything is picture perfect! The thought that has gone into the space combined with the backdrop of the city is just magic CONCERNING JOE (and the staff): -Pardon me for a moment while I gush but Joe and his team were my wedding White Knights and I don't think I could have ACTUALLY pulled off my wedding without him. - I've heard that most venues are primarily just an empty space and you're on your own for everything else. That was NOT the case at the Box House, and let me just tell you that I don't know what I would have done without them. -Joe was so communicative from day one and always went above and beyond to put our minds at ease. Even though I was an unorganized mess, he was so patient and would ask all the right questions to keep me on track. -Any time I needed to, he would walk me through the space- even if it was just because my mom was in town and she wanted to take a look! - I can't even express how much Joe and his team went above and beyond during the actual event. The Hotel provided tables, chairs, linens, decor lighting, cozy accents, and about a hundred other little things that meant the world to me that I didn't have to think about. -Everyone was so kind to our guests. Friends and family rave to me even still about the professionalism and generosity that the Hotel Staff displayed. -After the wedding and honeymoon Joe reached out to us just to check in. He sincerely cares about every couple that gets married the the Box House and it makes all the difference This review is long overdue, but partly because it was hard to find the words to express how much I would recommend The Box House Hotel to anyone getting married. Happy planning! <3
My husband and I had our wedding at The Box House Hotel...
just a few months ago on July 14th, and it was THE most magical night ever. I really mean it. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the whole night was! We looked at several venues upstate NY and around city for a good 6 months before stumbling upon this beautiful hotel via instagram! Luckily for us, it just happened to be 2 miles away from our apartment - yay! From the moment we met with Joe, who is the coordinator for all events at The Box House, we felt completely at ease and wowed by the incredible views, and everything that is included in the space. We knew within minutes that we had finally found our perfect venue. I could go on and on about how amazing everything turned out. From day 1, to the day of the wedding, Joe was present every step of the way. He was extremely patient, helpful, knowledgable, and helped guide us in all the right directions for best vendors, decor ideas, and coordinating the day of to make sure everything was on schedule. Joe and the team are really passionate about what they do, and it's a breath of fresh air when you're trying to plan the most important day of your life. We really appreciated the time, and effort their team spent on making our day so special. Joe even let us come back a few weeks after the wedding to take more bridal pictures on the rooftop - popped the champagne for us and everything! :) The best! The hotel itself is really impressive, with a restaurant, gym/steam room, beautiful loft rooms, suites, and complimentary hotel transportation to local restaurants and parks - it was easy for our guests to feel at home. We decided to use their in-house catering (best decision ever!) which includes an extensive menu for food/drink options. In addition, all tables, linens, glass and flatware were included. We HIGHLY suggest booking their in-house chef and Bar. Our guests are still talking about how good the food and drinks were. Highlights from the night was the beautiful table setting for our family style dinner, and the raw bar for our cocktail hour from the local Greenpoint Fish and Lobster- all coordinated and presented by Box House Events! The day was everything we wanted and more. Best venue in NYC, hands down! We are so glad to have found The Box House! The memories of that day and the 6 months leading up to the big day are forever going to be the best days in our lives. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind NYC experience, choose The Box House. Thank you again Joe and team! :)
